Default Slide out not sealing

I am a newbie owning a coach. I have had many warranty issues fixed and the last remaining one is the top of the slide does touch the siding when closed. GS says it's cosmetic if it is not leaking water. It is a gap of about 1/4 inch. Is it normal for the rubber seal to not seal at the top?
Any opinions are welcome.

If there is a quarter-inch gap there, then it WILL leak water and therefore is not cosmetic, even by Gulf Stream's definition...
