Default 1996 Innsbruck inside light problem

I have a 1996 Innsbruck camper I came back camping I been away for 2 weeks everything worked when I left. I came back plugged my camper in everything turned on except my Kitchen/living room lights. Everytime I change the fuse it blows instantly. I tried it with the light switch off and on that didn't work so I took the light bulbs out and still blew the fuse. It's not kicking the breaker it's blowing the fuse.

Hi Scot, sorry you're having trouble. The lighting is commonly using the 12 volt side of the power coming from the battery(s) or the converter, which is why it is blowing the fuse rather than a 120 volt circuit breaker.

It appears you have a short somewhere on that circuit. You'll have to troubleshoot it like any 12v circuit. Check the fixture(s), switch(es) first, then the wire runs where you can and hope you don't have to rewire it. Good luck!

Often POS/NEG both goto a (remote switch) box/area, so shorts are possible there, but if switch on light fixture, hopefully problem is evident when you unmount the fixture? If no problem there, suspicion is rodent damage to a wire, so try to find any compartment/ area where wire routed between fuse box and fixture. I.e. My Power Center in knee area under sink, so wires run under sink before going UP to ceiling fixtures in a closet corner chase. For me, I pull drawers out to Inspect/ access under sink. Good Luck
