Default Tire Pressure/Gas Mileage

I’ve heard and read a lot of conflicting info on tire pressure, max the tire is rated for, 75%, even a very convoluted math equation with tire rating and GVRW on the trailer itself. We’re about to take a trip from Maine to Lake George NY and I’m curious, based on other people’s previous experiences, if increasing tire pressure could potentially help increase our MPG? Any input would be much appreciated.
