Default 2005 Gulfstream Endura C5500 Overhead Sleeper

Hi guys,

I have the partial cabinet option on a 2005 Endura cab over sleeper. I want to open the whole above driver berth to have no cabinets.

Is it possible to open this up to have a full sleeper? Or are the cabinets integrated into the structure for cab over portion?

LOL, I have the exact same unit, same year. Previous owner removed cabinets to make a full bed area for the grand kids. I would love to buy your cabinets for my unit. Probably not possible but funny. In answer, yes they will come out. Look for two screws on both sides holding the cabinets to the bulk head. Just easy as you go. I'm in NE Ohio if you are close maybe we could work something out.

I’ve had all of mine out to repair leak damage and rewire. They come out and go back in easily.

Following.
I have a 2005 Conquest Super C, with the "Entertainment Center" in the overhead. I too am looking to convert it to a sleep area, moving the TV on an articulating mount in right hand corner (like some of the newer models have). This way I can replace the sleeper "sofa" (loveseat) with a reclining loveseat. Looks like it would be pretty easy to do.
Originally thought the Entertainment Center would be the way to go, seeing that we would hardly need the extra sleep area. But after spending time in it, we found the original TV spot was not ideal (partial blocked when viewing from sofa), and the sofa was uncomfortable.

I removed the entertainment center in my 05 6316. I put the cabinets back in, but on the sides. A full mattress fits perfect in the remaining area. I will take some pics when I get a chance.

Heres some pics of how I converted our overhead entertainment center into a bunk. Ours is(was) a 6316 as well.
