Default Electric steps

Hi. I’m getting ready for a spring trip and found my electric steps won’t fully retract leaving them lower than safe to travel. Anyone else had this problem? Any advise?

I had the same problem, lubricated all moving linkage and extended/retracted the steps for several days during our trip, work great now.
Make sure the voltage to the motor is at design, 12-13 volts, low voltage will reduce the motor power to retract the steps.
Do that before you replace a weak step motor.
