This is a follow up on "Met a Peterbuilt on the way home". We had our meeting in April, ordered parts in early May. We still don't have the parts but they "are in the truck". We started calling GS Customer service in June. Yesterday I talked to Adam Smith. He said that my first call to him was Aug. 3. What happened to all the other messages I left. Who knows? He said that they no longer had the mold for an 03 and had to rebuild one. No one from GS service notified us of this. Parts will be there July 17 then Aug. 1st. We have been with out the use of our rig since mid July as it was taken into the shop and repairs were started getting ready for the parts on the 17th. There is no communication from GS. We left numerous messages and were never called back. Had to tell the receptionist that I wouldn't be put on hold to leave a message again. I wanted to talk to some one and finely got to talk to Adam. Not bad for four months. And to top it all off the "dealer" we went through said that there is a good chance some of the parts wont fit. The moral of the story is if you have a wreck with a GS "Total it" as you can't get it parts from, GS

Can you believe it! The parts arrived on Aug. 21st. Not bad, they were ordered on May Th. At least the got here in the same year and they fit. Now all we need is for the trucking company (Stevens Transport out of Dallas TX.) to pony up the money and we will have our coach back before winter. We missed all our scheduled outings for July and Aug.

Thanks Earl, They (the shop) is having to add some bracing to reinforce the cap. So the bill will go up for parts and labor. Then the fight with the trucking Co. as they are self insured and are fighting every charge. Should have had my insurance handle it they know the shop is honest and wouldn't question every charge. It is now the 8th of Sept. and all the parts are not here. Gulfstream sent the right side head light. We ordered the left side. It has been two weeks and they still haven't sent us the left light. Same thing calls are not returned, Emails ignored.

We got our rig on the 14th of Sept. minus the new Left head light that was promised by Gulfstream for the 12th. We did get an Email from Gulfstream apologizing for the delay and that the head light was shipped that day. The parts that they did ship didn't fit anything on our coach. They were ordered on the 9th of May and when they didn't come with the cap so the shop manufactured some of them. Among the wrong parts were the fog lights. The housing for the fog lights that they sent didn't match the light they sent or the lights on our coach. It looks like Gulfstream has no idea what they put in their coach's. This has been the longest five months of our lives. We now have the use of our coach and when we get back from our week at the beach we will get the new head light installed and be done with Gulfstream and their lack of customer service. Our coach looks like it is brand new. The paint match is perfect. Coach Masters of Bend is first class
