Default Friendship Access (related to slow crank thread)

I have a GS Friendship Quattro 2003. I have struggled with a slow crank problem for a year now. I believe I have finally located the problem - damaged cable to the block. I need to trace this cable through a +- 2 inch harness to the block and replace it. I removed the mattress in the bedroom lifted the bed base and revealed a hatch. I climbed into the hatch and soon discovered that I would need to be 3 ft tall not 6ft to have a hope in hell of ever seeing anything at all let alone replacing the cable. Does anyone know how to access the engine or do I have to remove the entire bed frame, remove the carpeting (still covered by plastic protection) and search for other access points!! Has anyone done this?? This problem is most likely common to any number of models. If there is some magic way please let me know!!

Cheers
