Default Replacing Hot Water Line in Kitchen

I have a 1997 Tourmaster and the hot water line broke for the kitchen sink. I can barely see the fitting and am trying to figure out how to replace it. Do I have to remove the sink and cabinet drawers or what? Any help here appreciated.

If you can see both ends of the section you want to replace just snip the ends, tape the replacement line to the bad section, slowly pull it through and use quick connects or Pex crimp rings to reattach the new line...

Thanks for your suggestion. I can only see one end, but i have not pulled out the cabinet drawers at the bottom to check yet. Hopefully I can find the other end.

Is it PEX? If it is PEX you don't necessarily have to go all the way to the other end of the water line. Just find a convenient place to cut the line and use push-to-connect fittings. The push-to-connect fittings are the most secure kind and require no tools, if you don't have the specific tools required to install good clamps.

The line from the manifold is PEX but where the leak is, the line is copper behind the cabinets.

I believe they make a PEX to copper push-to-connect fitting. Is the copper line broke, or the PEX?

It is a fitting on the copper line. Just really hard to get to. I can barely even see it.

Ouch. That looks like it is probably leaking from the solder joint.

I am sure I could fix it if I can get access to work on it. May have to remove sink and cabinet drawers completely.

Some times it is what it is. If you have to go that far to tighten the connection, if it were me I would extend the pipe using, the “Sharkbite” press together fittings. It looks to me as of you will have to keep the screw to get her fittings because the copper line is smaller going to your sink. It may be a great time to ask the person that uses the kitchen what they want for a new faucet (one with a spray wand) that’s what I did! And just ask my wife, she’ll tell you “I just love it”

TIP: When you go to RE-TEST after repair, USE AIR AND SOAP BUBBLES for LESS/NO MESS in case of leak?

Use the pink RV antifreeze. Your water lines won’t be contaminated!
