Default Hot water odor in bathroom

We are getting an odd (smelly onions?) odor from our hot water in the bathroom. It does not occur in the kitchen hot water. Any help would great.

Soxman,

I read somewhere that you may need to replace the cathode (anode?) rod in your hot water heater.

However, other sources indicate the smell could be due to bacteria. This link explains how to clean your system:

Here is more about a sulpher smell:

See what others have to say before you get into a big cleaning/parts changing project.

Well, I dumped the hot h2o, flushed it with a jet nozzle on a hose and washed out about a good cupful of white sediment. The anode rod is only about six weeks old an looks OK. I added 2-3 TBS. of bleach, plugged and filled it again. I then ran this bleach water to the sinks. I'll see how this works but I think it may be related to cruddy water down here in FLA. My RV neighbor has to clean green slime from his ceramic line filter about every two weeks.
Thx for your response.
