City water connection, a cautionary tale
A year ago I repaired a hose end with what looked like a brass male end. This fitting was connected to the coach city water connection for the past year. We are full timers and I connect my water hose and filter to this short hose. Now a year later I needed to disconnect the short hose and found the hose end seized to the city water connection. Ultimately I have to replace the city water connection on the coach because the fitting I added to the hose was actually aluminum with a brass coating. The brass city water connection and the aluminum in the hose fitting have fused due to the dissimilar metals. Hope this helps some else avoid the problem.
