Default Back up sensor

Another trip, another problem. I guess it's to be expected with a 19-year-old rig.
2003 BT 5230. My BT home began sounding the alert now every time I back up. the whole time I'm backing up. It's not that big a problem, just annoying and now I don't know if there really is something behind me. Anyone change their sensors?

Yes, but first put in R while parked in a big lot and go back and see which of the 4 sensors is triggered, you may have to disconnect 1 at a time to determine. Or it may be the controller. I found my controller in under the rear cabinet laying on the floor 2X3X1 plastic box. all the wires plug into power, Rev signal, don't remember if sensors are individual or ganged, They also sell complete kits, the sensors in the new kit was not compatible with old, so I just used the original wiring and added the new components. The wire from the back up to the speaker and Rev pick up were the hard to replace the wiring at the rear was all exposed and across the rear so it would not have been hard to change from the sensors to the controller, but the stuff up front obviously runs the length of the home. I found they ran the front wire up over the drivers door to get to the IP. You can do it, Or put in a good back up camera and disconnect.
