Default what the heck does it do?

To you other Atrium owners out there. I have an 04 Atrium model 8410 that has a switch plate ( like a light switch ) with an amber energized/not energized light on it in the same panel as the slide control rocker switches. I cannot figure out what the heck it does. I'm quite sure it's a factory installation. Also, do all the Atriums have " basement heat ". Thanks.

It is the switch for the electric hot water heater.

Thanks Holmsaw. There's a switch for the water heater next to the switch for the water pump on the panel that gives the status of the tanks and batteries. This panel is to the left of the galley sink. I don't think the switch I'm referring to is the water heater. Every switch in the coach is labeled but that one. I'll switch it on anyway and see if the water gets hot or the wheels fall off.

The switch next to the water pump is to run the water heater on GAS,
the other one you are refering to is for running it on ELECTRIC.

...and do remember that turning on that unidentified switch with the amber lamp doesn't guarantee the water will heat!!!! (Even though the lamp is lit) There is also an (unidentified) circuit breaker in the exterior hot water heater compartment that must be turned on as well. There is a clip thru the switch lever to prevent operation.

Remove the clip to allow breaker operation when you are absolutely certain there is water in the tank. Turn off the breaker & replace the clip when there is any possibility of the switch with the lamp being turned on with no water in the tank (winter storage).

I guess that's why GS chose to not mark the switch.... That way they don't have to explain why the switch may, or may not work, even though the light always comes on...

Maybe it is the switch to keep the engine warm in cold weather. It also has an amber light, but on my Gulfstream Scenic Cruiser it is by the side of the engine box under the bed.
