Default CB Antenna placement?

We have a 2004 Gulf Stream Sun Voyager. We would like to install a CB but not sure of the location due to all the fiberglass? Anyone have any suggestions. Thanks Dick

On a couple previous coaches, I installed a through-the-glass antenna on the top of the window beside the driver's seat. No holes to cut and close to the location of the CB. Worked good for line of sight communicating.

I mounted the CB on a bracket hanging under the dash on the left side of the steering column.

To mount the antenna, I removed the interior cover on the post along the left side of the windshield (popped off the leather wrapped screw covers, removed the screws and the cover came off). I was the able to see where to drill the hole to mount the antenna. A hole large enough to feed the cable through was required and the outside antenna ball and gasket covered the hole. The mounting screws went directly into the fiberglass body. The final location was just above the forward edge of the driver's side window at about the same location as the radio antenna on the opposite side of the coach.

I ran the cable down along the interior post and fed it behind the dash to connect it to the CB. I then replaced the post cover... and done!

It was one of the easier things I've done to the rig.
