Hello,

We're thinking about buying one of these. Since its diesel with an Allison transmission I figure that would be good. I can't find much information on it. I was wondering if anyone knows anything and since its almost 12 years old if they're still pretty good.

2008 is supposedly the last year the quality was solid in the RV industry. We've also looked at so.e 2011 gas Class A's.

We're fulltime in a 43' 5ver but buying another house ang buying a Class A. We are thinking about driving to Alaska in 2021 so it would have to hold up to that. Other years maybe 10,000 miles maybe a little more maybe a little less.

They're asking $49,900.

TIA,
Pat

Can't answer to your specific model, but I took my 1997 37' Sun Voyager to Alaska this summer with only one minor issue in over 7000 miles, some of them rough. These Cat diesels and Allison trannies are fairly well bombproof IF they have been maintained properly.

Buying a used rig, prior maintenance is more important than anything else. Make sure you see good, complete records; if the seller says something like "Oh, yeah, my brother-in-law is a diesel mechanic and he took care of all that for us." keep on looking.

Yes we're taking our time. Right now I'm mainly researching and asking questions. Probably won't buy anything until next year unless one falls in our lap.

Hi

We have exactly that model (2007/2008 ) and have been driving it since 2015. Happy so far..
We're living in Sweden and are using our rig all year around.
