I have a 2004 Gulfstream Sunvoyager model #8379 and the bedroom slide-out has a bad roller on the left side. I intend to replace this myself. Went to Longview today and they tell me that Gulfstream does not have the roller I need anymore, can you imagine four years and a part obsolete. So they sold me one that looks to be close. Now I am not sure how to go about replacing this roller. I know I will have to run the slide-out out part way to get axcess to the roller, but not sure how to support the slide while I remove the roller. Has any of our fine member done this repair and if so how do I go about it. Thanks to all.

The Dewald hydralic unit is what GS used for many of their units, including my TM. The schematic is for install/use of the power system, but may help you with your roller replacement process.
If you are going to the trouble of replacing one roller, perhaps replacing both might be in order?
Also: www.colawrvsalvage.com is a good source for parts.
Goodluck

When I first got my 2004 MH Sunvoyager I talked with a gentleman at Gulfstream who was very good with slide-outs, he helped me with a water leak. I would like to contact him again but I have forgot his name and lost his phone number. Does anone on the forum have a good contact at Gulfstream for me. Thank you.
Well I finally got the bedroom rollers replaced and they are working great. The new rollers are adjustable and I was able to raise the slideout up a little in the hole and now the seal is working a lot better. It was about 1/2 low and the top seal did not seal properly. Was a pretty easy job, I had a good friend help me as I am not able to get down on the knees and he was able to get in and do the job of replacing them.

How did you support the slide while replacing the rollers?
Take care

We used a bottle jack on the outside with a piece of 4x4 and jacked against the bottom. Only had to raise it off the old roller and then removed it & install the new one.. We had to do this oneach side of the slide out.
Thanks. That was what I thought I needed to do, but was not sure.
