Slide Is Slow
I have a 2007 Friend ship with 4 slides. I have noticed that the large slide on the drivers side is having a hard time going and coming in and out (real slow). My house batteries are fully charged and the motor sounds fine. Any suggestions.

Is it always this way, or just in cold weather? My slide comes in very slowly in cold weather...

slow slides
I had the same thing. One thing that might help is to clean and lube the rubber seals, the Rollers Under Slide, guides, and wax the outside of slide walls. This help mine travel better. Bob-n-Liz

Use a dry lube on the slide arms, and hydraulics, as well as a good rubber conditioner on the seals.
Check the hydraulic fluid level. A low level will hinder the slide movement, since this is a "power in and out" system.
Check for binding of the slide floor against the slide rail.
Powergear has good infomation on their site, if you e-mail me personally I have a great manual for the Dewauld system that I can send you.

Hi Larry:
Hopefully my e-mail did not go into cyber-space. I sent you a folder from Powergear that includes the leveling system, slide system, and their service manual.

Check the fluid, it might be low. But I think in the winter with the cold weather they tend to be slower. I also notice that the big slide on mine is slower with cold weather.

I have found that Talcum Powder is a great lubricant for the Rubber Seals.
Inexpensive and effective. WD40 works well on the metal rails and
leveling jacks.
Best regards, Clyde

Slow slideout
I find that if I keep my electric cord hooked up until I run the slides in that they work faster. Also when the weather is cold they are a little slower.

+1 on cold weather...mine are at least twice as slow when the outside temps are below 50 degrees.
