Hi sweenbros3
I have a 98 Sun Voyager with a rubber roof I bought 3 months ago and I got some advise from an experienced RV person and he advised the following:
(1) If the black rubber is not showing just use a rubber roof cleaner to remove the chalk residue then put a rubber roof treatment to seal and minimize chalking. You can use Protect All brand and both cleaner and sealer come in a spray 32oz bottle.
(2) If the black rubber is showing extensively then you will want to re-coat the roof using a primer for the rubber and topped with a new white coat. (example Kool Seal rubber roof primer and top coat.
You may find all of these products at RV CamperLand or where they have RV supplies.
Good luck
Mike
