Power Sun Visors
Looking to upgrade the ones that came with my coach. You have to stand up while driving to adjust them. Has anyone put in the power screens? I've seen some manual ones at CW but I'm looking for the power version. I know there's power in the overhead cause the window defrosters are mounted there and one could splice into this source and not use the defrosters
Thx John

John,
We have the power shades on the driver and passenger sides. They were factory installed. I am not sure who made them but they look like the Carefree one I saw before in a RV store. The are a black sunscreen material and we really like them.
The wiring was run down inside the drivers side windshield pillar behind the trim and there are two switches with the rest of the options switch in the dash that operates the sunscreens individually up/down. The switches match the others that are installed there.
I also installed a sunscreen shade on the left drivers side window that matches the two windshield screens but it is a manual screen and it is a Carefree for sure.
The standard useless manual sunblocker shades were also in the coach when we got it and I removed them. They are stored in a box in the storage building.

Ron,
Thanks for the information. If I order the switches from GS I might have them by Xmas. The other option is find out who supplied the dash switches to GS and order from them.

For starters check out Iboats.com & MSCDirect.com and click on rocker switches there are some that look like the ones in my coach. I will do more research in the morning.

Ron, are you talking about the side ones. I have those cheap apartment looking blinds on the driver's side windows and that rolls down over the door. I think those look really cheap in contrast to the rest of the blinds.
Thanks.....

Thanks Ron,
The SideVisor looks like the ones that came on the front windshields of mine. You can see through them but its kind of wierd looking around the X style frame...

Dave,
We don't have any "X" frame on our sidevisor since it is a manual powered. We ordered and installed the Standard Sidevisor as shown on page two. It is held down with a suction cup that sticks to the window. It has a 26" drop which is plenty to cover the top window which is all we wanted to block the sun. I didn't want anything down any farther to obstruct my view while driving and that works perfectly.

On my coach I just bought a small curtain rod (spring loaded) and white sheer curtains that I just pull closed when the sun bothers me. You can see through the curtains while driving very well. The whole set-up cost me less than $20.00 and while parked a t a camp site looks just like home

I'm getting ready to order these because of input from this site (thanks!):
http://www.rvawningsonline.com/products ... s.php?r=14
These look like Carefree also--does anyone have experience with this particular type?
Thanks,
Jill
