Default what is standard alternator for 2005 bt cruiser

I am replacing the alternator on my 2005 BT cruiser, and am trying to find out if it has the 104amp, or the 145amp alternator.

What was stock on these?

thanks,

In 2005, Gulf Stream used both Ford and Chevrolet van chassis for the BT Cruiser. Which do you have? Usually, the alternator will have markings to let you know. Check all stickers under the hood too that might tell you.

If it's a Chevy, you can look for the RPO sticker (usually in the glovebox or the driver door jam) and look at the list of codes. Find the codes for the alternator options online. Whichever code is on your sticker, that's the one you have.

If Ford, write down the VIN from the tag on the dashboard visible through the windshield. With that, you can either do some Googling and internet sleuthing, or call Ford or a Ford Dealer, give them the VIN and have them tell you.

Always go bigger if you’re having to replace your old one. The auto parts store should be able to tell you what you have.

Default 2021 has 210 amp

A 2021 E350 7.3 liter Godzilla engine has a 210 amp.
You can see the label on the end. Yours may have one. I had to take the air input off to get a good view when it was on the engine.

I got a replacement for Tucson alternators. They ship fast.

if they can go 250 amp it will be better. Although they would loose an incy bit of fuel milage. The extra pupp on the engine.
