Where is the brake control located on a 1996 Conquest 23 ft camper trailer? I'm replacing all 4 hubs and drums and cannot find any information about this anywhere.

Welcome to the Forum from Western NY State!

Braking while driving is controlled by either a factory on-board brake controller on the dash of your tow vehicle, or by adding an aftermarket controller if no factory one exists. There should also be a separate emergency breakaway cable and switch on the trailer tongue, which must be attached to a firm anchor point on the tow vehicle, in case of an unexpected separation of the trailer.

This trailer has the control on board so nothing is inside the towing vehicle. It requires 12 volt batteries that are mounted on the trailer for power.
I had never seen such a system before and apparently it's not well known. Thanks for your help.

Keep me update on what you find, I am only aware of vehicle mounted electric and trailers with hydraulic surge brakes.

why are you replacing hubs ? I understand drums and the only control on a trailer I am aware of is the brake away switch. We have one on a trailer with a small seperate battery of its own. The main trailer brake control is on the tow vehicle as stated previously. Good luck
