2001 sun sport RED LINE

My Ford book says not to go over red line with the v-10
no where in any manual can I find what the red line is for the v-10
This is a new motor in a 2001 Sun Sport the old one lasted 14172 miles
Can anyone tell me how they drive theirs, as to using over drive while towing.

I would imagine that you could get the red line information from the Ford dealer in your area for the V10 engine.

Also, usually, but not always, if there was installed a tach in your dash when it was manufactured, there should be a marking on it or "red line" to reference to for the engine that was installed when new.

I have the V-10 in my ford excursion and the tach on it shows no red line

I found a new person at Ford that gave me the RED line for the v-10 at 5250 rmp. It sounds reasonable.
