I have put this up here many times I have ran ads looking for a technician in the Tampa Bay area Florida that can repair or tell me what's wrong with my slides and get them fixed I do not want to go to Sam's or any of these Big lots doors I can't see why it's so hard to find a technician want to make a little extra money I guess the generation now just doesn't need any money my God how can you get something fixed if you can find no one to work on it other than we can come to your house for $300 and then so much an hour to diagnose it I can drive it fine it's got a brand new engine in it anyone with help in the Florida Tampa Bay St Pete Orlando area please reply 🙏🏻😎

Eddie,

Is the slide completely retracted so you can drive the coach safely? If so you can take it to any qualified repair facility...

Since this coach is 22 years old, it may not be simple to find a qualified/skilled/knowledgeable serviceman that is not quite senior (and therefore values his time appropriately...) If the coach drives, you and avoid the call fee, but it will still cost real money to find your fault. Parts availability can be an issue as well.

Maybe if you describe your fault in more detail, we can make some suggestions... What brand slide mechanism is used on your coach? Power Gear/De Wald or Schwintek or ??? Are they hydraulic or cable operated??? If you don't know, just admit that and pay the freight.

Your slides

We have a 2002 Gulfstream Sun Voyager Trio. It has 3 slides. Drivers side ones are hydraulic, passenger side is auto electric. The driver side ones have had sticky switches. Happy to try and help. But, help us help you with providing more info.

If you did not call Jeff and still have issue, provide more info and maybe we can help? I.e. Procedure, 1) you do know that many slides will not work if engine running? 2) (Some) have seat switch and require driver's seat fully forward and tilted? (To prevent seat/ slide damage); 3) (Some) REQUIRE engine running for the higher voltage; 4) MANY slide issues are LOW BATTERY CHARGE; 5) SOME slide issues are hidden objects under/ floor/ behind wings of slide. I had a linen bag fall off over-cab hidden behind driver seat, knocked my trimmed board off as slide silently crushed it... 6) I had an issue where slide would not deenergize and would trip 12vdc breaker by battery after switch released. Replacing both solenoids cured issue.
