2004 ultra super c oil change for 8.1L

If you have the Endura or are powered by the 8.1L Chevy Vortec engine and use a standard AC/Delco PF 454 filter, it's showing 6.4 quarts for the middle of the safe zone and 7 quarts for upper safe. If this isn't the correct engine or filter size, let me know and I can do some additional research. To double check, you should probably contact Napa or a dealer.

Phil R There is a label on the air cleaner that shows that the 8.1L engine takes 9.5 quarts of oil. And the oil filter on it now is a napa gold 7099. I'm trying to find out the correct number of quarts I need.

Need to change engine oil in the 8.1L. How many quarts does this engine take?
WIX 57202 filter and 10 qts. Been using that since we got our 06 Endura in 2011 with 11,600 miles on it - along with Mobile1 or Delo full-syn oil. Two trips to AK, one to Vegas, once per year to PA (from FL) - 86,300 on it now - uses NO oil between 5,000-6,000 mile changes. (Mileage sucks though - avg. 6.5...7 with tail-wind.)

I use a NAPA Gold oil filter 1794 and 10 quarts of synthetic oil. Bought in 2007 with less than 2k miles. Now approaching 102k with very little oil consumption.
