2007 Tour Master Entry Door Gas Strut or Holdback

Hi y’all - I need to either replace my entry door gas strut but I’m inclined to install a hinged swing arm instead. Like the bay doors, these are hinged arms that don’t have any gas strut or shock but keep the door from swinging too far out or being affected by wind. Has anyone installed one?

I cannot find a gas strut that will fit my coach because we need a mounting setup that requires eyelets instead of the pop-on type of setup.
