Well, The kids are in their 20's now and family travel now means 'just the wife and I'. So it's time to let the big RV go and get something smaller. I've listed my 2008 SN6400 at the link below. It's listed at $89,900, but make me an offer.
The 6400 trim level offers plenty of amenities to make your road trip enjoyable and stress-free. With a fully-equipped kitchen, slide out pantry shelves, combo washer/dryer, bunk beds, central vac, bath and a half, and king sized bed, this motorhome has everything you need for a memorable family travel experience. Set up to sleep 8 easily and 10 if needed.
Mechanically in great shape with many upgrades and updates. This SN6400 has an added air bag suspension in the rear and Road King Shocks all around. The cab has been soundproofed with Dynamat sound deadener which made it much quieter and less fatiguing on the long highway runs. The original International engine died, was replaced with a Reviva remanufactured engine which also died. I then went with a ‘bulletproofed’ 6.0 from Asheville Engines in 2016 and we have not had any issues since then (about 50,000 miles ago). I added a Bullet Proof Diesel oil cooler, Bullet Proof Diesel EGR Cooler, FICM upgrade, stage 2 camshaft, 190cc fuel injectors, ARP studs on the heads, and larger turbo. I use the Scanguage D to monitor everything and it really runs great. When I did the engine, I had the rear end gears changed from the stock 5.29 to 4.88 and it really made a change to the way it cruises on the highway (somewhat slower off the line and merging, but cruises easily at 65-75 MPH towing my Jeep Wrangler JKU). Tires, coach and chassis batteries were all replaced last year.
For those ‘boondocking’ experiences, the SN6400 has you covered. It has an 6kw generator, carries 120 gallons of fresh water, and has 52 gallons of black and 52 gallons of grey holding tank capacity. The electric leveling jacks make it simple to get set up once you arrive and the full wall slide and bedroom slide expand the footprint to 320 square feet of living space. Dual 15000 btu ducted AC units help keep you cool and dual furnaces will keep you warm and cozy at night. Carrying 140 gallons of diesel fuel (no DEF needed here) in dual fuel tanks, you have the range to get really out there.
