I just purchased a 2013 Visa 19ERD. Its my first RV and pretty new at this.
The trailer didn't come with the sewer hose and the 30 AMP electrical cord.
The sewer hose brand specific or generic? Is all sewer hoses has the same diameter, and the connections the same? How about the " 30A electrical" chord to buy for the outside hook up? Are they manufacturer specific, or just standard exterior cords? Do I need to buy a specific "type" of plug? What is the average length from the between the site plug in and the trailer? Can I run a cable from my 110V outlet in the garage to the trailer, and does it require any "adapters"?
I noticed some of these item(s) are available from Walmart web site, but I
don't have a clue what and where to get all this stuff....
Would greatly appreciate any help.....

Both are standard items, although power cords are somewhat pricey. Generally 25 or 30 feet is plenty.

This place has pretty much anything you would want, but isn't always the least expensive. You can check walmart too.

They also have brick and mortar stores all over the country. There's one in Fort Worth.

Sewer Hose:
There are LOTS of options, and they get fancy. This one is relatively inexpensive and will get the job done:

25 foot power cord:

30 foot power cord:

Notice the type of plug on the trailer end (female end of the power cord), and make sure your trailer has that sort of connector (twist-lock type). The male end of that cord is the standard 30 amp connector used in campgrounds.

19 ERD questions....

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Appreciate the info.

I ordered the hose and cord you mentioned.

I just hoped the plug fits.

If not, no big deal, I can always exchange it.

How satisfied are you with your RV ??

I hear a lot of people complain about theirs.

There are some problems with everything we choose. I guess that is cost of "RV-ing"....

At this point.....I think I am going to like it.

Besides,... it's hard to find hotels that accept 3 German Shepherds....

I've been very happy with mine. It had a couple issues when I picked it up (new) that were all easy to fix - all of them related to plumbing - loose fittings and a bad pump. Since, it's been very reliable and problem free.

Enjoy! It's a different world out there. I'm in the eastern US - going to MA and upstate NY this summer.

I've not spent a lot of time there. (We live in OH.) Our trip this year is largely college visits for my son. We're going to visit a friend in Amherst, MA (and visit U. Mass Amherst), spend a little time on Lake Champlain (the actual vacation part of the trip), then visit Clarkson, Union College, and Rochester Institute of Technology. Not our normal vacation.

No Camping World for me please!

Stay away from Camping World. You can get a sewer hose at Walmart. It won't be a high end quality hose but they have them along with a lot of other things that Camping World will be happy to sell you at much inflated prices. I use Camping World's online catalog to look up stuff but then buy it from other sources by searching a little bit. Amazon has it all!
