2025 Vintage Cruiser 19TWD Questions - Ladder, Rear Camera, TPMS

I will be purchasing a new 2025 19TWD and have a couple of questions. It is on order from the dealer, who only had 2024 models on the lot when I was there last, and they are a few hours away, so I can't just go back and look.

These questions should also apply to most of the the other smaller non-slide out models in the series like the 19ESD, as well as their Vista Cruiser equivalents.

1. Is there a backing plate for a rear ladder to install a Lippert extension ladder? Or is it not recommended to install a ladder on this unit? I want to be able to get up top to maintain seals and such, or to clean off sticks and leaves if I've been out a while, but with no ladder mount, I'm left with just leaning a regular ladder on the drip rails on the drivers side, and that doesn't sound like a great idea to me. But if there is no built in backer, then I am not sure if it would be wise to mount the cleat on just the fiberglass side/back.

2. Is there a rear camera mount built in? Nothing on the website mentions it, but all of the images and videos I have seen look like there is a Furrion type rear camera mount. If so, is it wired into the running lights for power (back up/rear view only), or to the RV interior 12V for power (so that it can also be used as an observation camera from the inside while parked)? I'm looking at the Haloview BT7 plus system, as it has gotten very good reviews, and is a little cheaper than the Furrion (but not much). I'll also be looking to add the right and left side light cameras. The 3 window split view should be nice for towing, with the top as a rear view, and views to either side for lane changes.

3. Anyone have a recommendation for a TPMS for this unit? With only a single axel, I think it would be very desirable to have one. I've had a blowout on a single axel before, it isn't fun.

4. Anything else I should be looking for on this unit? I take delivery in February, and want to have any items I need on hand as soon as I get it. I'll probably want to upgrade the mattresses, but I'll need the originals for measurements, so can't do that until I have delivery.

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi DaWorm2,
The roof panel is a sandwich construction. Have a look at my thread:
roof cleaning
I think there is no re-enforcement any where in the roof panel.

I installed a wireless back-view camera on my 19ERD, its powered through the 12V light and not by the back-up light.

Side light cameras would be a great help for backing up. Please let me know if/when you find a good product.

At over 300lbs I might need 3x3 3/4” plywood!

I didn't expect backup light there, but wanted to know if it was 12V available even when disconnected from tow vehicle, or 12V used for marker lights that is only present when attached to tow vehicle.

Backup light is useful in some systems at the head unit inside the vehicle, as it can trigger automatically switching to rear camera view despite what view it is in at idle. I think some systems can give you the backup indicators with that.

Loving Our Vintage Cruiser 19ERD – Back-Up Camera Upgrade! 🚐✨

We absolutely love our Vintage Cruiser 19ERD, and one of the best upgrades we made was adding a backup camera! Since our unit came pre-equipped with a camera cradle, installation was a breeze. The system connects via Bluetooth and activates when the vehicle is on, making backing up and parking so much easier.

While it’s not a high-end, ultra-HD setup, it works decently well and has proven to be a game-changer when maneuvering into tight spots. Definitely a solid upgrade for anyone looking to make RV life smoother and stress-free!

Highly recommend! Anyone else using a backup camera on their Vintage Cruiser?

We bought a Furrion Vision S 7", but are waiting to bring it home before our first trip and will install it then. The dealer wanted 2x the price we paid on Amazon. Which one did you get?

We got the same camera you mentioned – the Furrion Vision S 7". The dealer installed it for free, and since our trailer already had the cradle and pre-installed wiring, it took less than 30 minutes. I imagine your unit also has the backup camera cradle and wiring, so installing it should be super easy for you too!
