Added a diesel heater.

We have found that we camp in cooler temperatures. Before our Cruiser we camped in Vans and heated them with diesel heaters.
So now we are in our lovely 5210. We have used the propane heater but thought we would add a diesel heater to save our propane. Ordered a Vevor 8KW kit. It came with a 10 liter diesel tank. I added the tank near the gas fill port. The heater was installed on the driver side in front of the water tank. The exhaust runs under the floor and exits between the generator and house battery doors.
We love the simplicity of this heater. Filling the tank is easy with the diesel and gasoline ports near each other. I ducted the heated air down the driver side and included a vent in the bathroom. Nice.

Our cruiser is setup for off grid camping. Along with the diesel heater we added a 24 volt air conditioner. We maintained the roof top AC. We added a soft start that allows the unit to run off grid using the 3000 watt inverter. We found that the 24 volt Aircon is more efficient and also it runs quieter. We just returned from a 3 night trip and we were able to test both systems.

Redundancy;
We have 2 on board heating systems propane and diesel. 2 air conditioners the roof top and the 24 volt aircon. 2 ways to heat water an electric element and propane burner. 2 house battery systems 12 volt 300 ah and 24 volt 400 ah.

Now we have more confusion we have more thermostats, more switches and gauges.

The diesel heater came with a wireless remote that my wife uses to adjust the temperature.
