I am wondering if anybody else is annoyed with the video feed of the side cameras staying on for what seems to be 30 seconds after the turn signal is cancelled? I have a 2024 BT Cruiser on an E350 chassis with a factory installed AVM1209S head unit (and factory installed side and rear cameras) that I use with my smartphone for navigation. I find that delay switching back to the navigation screen very disturbing, especially when I need to know the next step right away.
Has anybody found a way to change the time delay settings? If that isn’t possible, what about having a second monitor where the rearview mirror is and have both sides and the rear video stream on it continuously?
Thank you in advance!

On our 2022 - BT5230 we have camera screen on rear view mirror mount with a Sony unit that replaced the Ford factory radio. After installation of the Sony unit I had to download a update for the radio to interface with the Ford system. Downloaded the update onto to Flash Drive and plug it into the Sony unit and the update loaded automatically. We use apple car play with google maps. Our maps display on the radio and the mirror unit displays the camera. The Sony unit has a camera option that we did not connect.
I did look at your operation manual and did not see anything about adjust camera set-up times. You may look for a GEAR ICON on your menu setup page that may lead you to a a resolution.
The radio shop did have a display for a mirror mount camera that shows all three cameras at once.

I had the same issue on my 2021 5210. I moved the cameras off my head unit and added a 7” monitor just for the cameras. I since have updated the head unit, the new one is running android 14 and the navigation. I also added a camera for the rear view mirror. The mirror was pretty much worthless. It was only good to look at the inside of the camper.

Picture shows the old setup before the head unit replacement. You can see the 7” screen just to the left of center. The rear view mirror setup is awesome. Ford or Gulf Stream should include it.
