block heater plug

I can't find the plug for the block heater. It should be in a compartment on left rear. Any suggestions?

I am assuming that you mean the electrical plug that you "plug in" to get the block heater to work.

Mine is behind the rear vented radiator compartment door. It will work off of shore power or generator power. For our C8.3 when we were warming it up with ambient temps in the 20's, I left it plugged in for about 2 hours. When I went to start it, it fired right up without me having to step on the accelerator pedal to keep it running.

I do not know if you have a side mount radiator but if you have a rear access door, I would check in there first.

Mine is located in the same compartment as the power cord and the Inverter.

It is located at the top/ceiling of the compartment. Easy to overlook, just a plug hanging by an electrical outlet.

In my TM, the block heater plug in is located in the compartment where the electrical shore cord/reel is located, L rear compartment. There is an electrical outlet, where the block heater cord plugs in.
My shore line is on a powered reel, with a switch, that powers in the electrical shore line.

This outlet is not on the inverter. (30 amps), thankfully.

I have the same model as yours, a 2006 T36. Like others said, it's located in the compartment where the shore power line is located. When you look at the compartment, you'll see two 120V plugs on the top, one on each end, facing down. The left one is the block heater, the right one is for a 120V to 12V converter.

Thanks to you all, but I can't find the plug. There are no plugs at all in the shore power compartment! The good news is that we are now in Florida and last Saturday when we left home the MB fired right up in 9 degree temp!!

If you started it right up @ 9 degree, I'm guessing it's already plugged in somewhere, you just can't find where it's located. There should be a breaker with a white 'test' button. Press it next time you are in freezing temperature and see if you can still start up easily. :wink:
That's better than me. I can't find the heating ducts to the bedroom; because there weren't any! Of course I had to find this out when I was in Utah while the temperature was in the teens. While everyone is complaining been too hot in the front, my wife and I are freezing to death in the back.
