I did install the 2 awnings, on the large windows…nice to have on a small rv. We use them all the time, even in reasonably windy conditions, and have had no problem. (Not so much with patio awning!) The passenger side was more of a challenge to find space for the awning arm, because of interference from the arm of the large factory installed patio awning. I was able to design a bracket from aluminum stock, which has worked well. Yes, the slider windows are probably the best choice for noise control on driver’s side, but the less expensive choice using the aluminum angle fit the budget
