We are in the process of buying a 2017 BT Cruiser 5210 this week.
The back up camera doesn’t appear to be working. Is this a common failure? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

I added a camera that displays in the rear view mirror. It is nice because I use it to view the traffic behind us.

Do you have side cameras? If so do they work?

You know idk if we have side cameras but I don’t think so. We are still waiting for the title to come through so don’t have the RV yet. I kind of figured I might have to get a new backup camera system , great suggestion getting one you can see in the mirror
Thanks

We have had 2 rear view mirror cameras. I like this one we bought off Amazon. It requires running a wire for the camera. There are wireless ones that are probably easier to install. I don’t have experience with those.

oooh..... i like the idea of having it in the mirror i also like the idea of a wire but how did you get the wire back there ? or is it exposed?
thanks for the response

Sorry been off wire for a while. I was able to snake the wire in the top corners of the upper cabinets. This worked great for a while. We replaced the ceiling and this allowed for us to run the wire in an installed conduit.

Pro tip if you remove the fan cover in the bathroom there is room to work the wire to the back fiberglass shell. This worked for both wire routes. I took the driver side path.

Also I did think of running the wire below, but decided that would be too rough.

You can see the camera just below the middle marker lights (the small one in the tan area).

Oh nice I traced the wire and it went down the driver’s side of the mat and out into split wire loom tubing under the RV. I put the new RCA cable into the same tubing all the way to the back. Worked out, camera works great. Thanks for the response

Oh and I also put a second wire for the rearview mirror camera that I will get at some point. Turned out the original wire was good all the way to the back bumper but chafed and opened going up in the back wall so I just had to replace a 12 foot piece of wire for the secondary camera.
