A couple of thoughts, on my 5211 the outside cable connector leads to another connector inside of a cabinet left of the television that I would still need another cable to hook to it and the next device. In the olden days it could just be hooked to the television. In the new digital world now, that wall connection in the cabinet probably needs to be hooked up to a 'cable box' that can unscramble the signal then send it to the television via another connection which is often HDMI unless your TV is really old, then that connection will be whatever type of input your tv has.
Where are you trying to hookup at? Home in the driveway? A camping park or resort? If the later, ask them if additional equipment is required to make cable work.
