I'm trying to find entry door locks for our BT 5210 that will fit easily and be keyed somewhat uniquely. Any suggestions or experience?

Thank you!

* I have just read further....is it true that the deadbolt lock is not as easily opened and is somewhat more unique than the latch lock coded with a master key letter? Perhaps this is a fool's errand.

New remote lock.

We bought a keypad, remote, unique keyed replacement lock. It has worked seamless. Pretty easy to replace. We did find that our door was bent. We didn’t notice it when we bought it, but it was a good time to straighten it with the lock removed.

Let me know if you have any questions.

You do need to make sure you get the right size. There is at least 2 major types.
We got ours on Amazon it is from LATCH.IT There are cheaper ones available.
We used the 3.50”wide x 4.50” tall x 1.5” thick unit. There are smaller sized one that will not work. Be careful.

One thing we noticed is that the inside handle is small. We added a separate extra handle and that works great.

Key pad still working

Now that we have had this lock for awhile I thought I would update everyone.
We still are loving it. It is nice not to use keys. It did come with four, but know the code and your in. We barely use the key fobs. Hard to get locked out that is nice. The one thing that is an issue is if you press the keys on an angle they can stick. This causes the keypad to stop. We have to fix the key then start over. Not too bad.

Battery replacement time.

We have used the keypad several times everyday for several months. We had to change the batteries. It uses 4 AA batteries. One small Philips screw on the inside and the cover is removed. Pretty simple to replace and it did not loose any settings. The code is the same and the adjustable beep is still on medium.

One thing to note is before the battery died to the point of not opening, it would take several attempts to open the lock using the keypad. Next time this happens I’ll grab some fresh batteries.

Still love this lock.

We also bought some storage compartment replacement locks. We bought them on Amazon they are from latch it. I heard that the stock locks on the compartments are keyed the same as 90% of other campers. We bought enough to change all the locks. The new locks and keys are keyed alike, but they are unique. Also I like the fact that they are made in America.

Storage locks changed

Quick reply. The storage compartment locks are now installed. They were very easy to change out. We bought too many, so we were able to add two to the several doors. The fit and security is much better then the original locks.
