The FW tank drain valve is about 1 to 2 inches above the bottom of the tank, making it impossible to fully drain the tank. I need to completely drain the tank to perform some maintenance on the drain petcock and the pump. Any ideas on how to remove the remaining couple of gallons of water?

When I bought my 5210 they advised I should not use or remove the tank completely and just throw it out. I choose to never use mine. It is a known issue they said that the tank cannot be drained completely and gets nasty. Sorry I could not be of more help

Kind of need it for dry camping and when...er... Mrs. Navigator needs a "rest stop" on the road. Anyway, I ended up removing the hold down strap so that I could tip the tank up just to get the new fitting on. I usually sanitize the tank with bleach water after each trip anyway so it's managed to stay pretty clean. We don't drink out of it in any case. We always carry drinking water. Thanks for your help.

I had to use a 1 inch spade bit and drill a hole at the top of the holding tank, then siphon out the last bit of water.
Unfortunately, you'll have to occasionally disinfect the holding tank. Depending on the size of your tank, add bleach to the tank filled with water. Run the pump, let it sit for a few hours, then run fresh water through several times.
