Hello Everyone.

My Front door was caught in the wind last night and the "grease zerk" type connector that screws down into the top of the door sheared off.

Can that connector be replaced or will I need to find a whole strut assembly for the door?

The door is not damaged that I can tell. The mirror on that side stopped the door. Mirror is fine just knocked out of adjustment, and a little skinned. Both door and mirror are black, so not much cosmetic damage. (will post another topic about these mirrors)

Upon looking at the door, The hinge system seems really well designed and very strong.

I would rather have the seat belt web strap as a back up or something. The weakest link on the door is this gas strut

Dave,

I would think that your dealer should be able to get the "knuckle" mounting bracket and they might just have one in there service dept from replacing a strut. I used to have four of them in my coach from struts that had to be replaced on compartments of our other coach.

I would check with them first.

Ron
