the generator start button pre-heats but won’t crank the generator on my 2006 tour master. i have power to the outside of the generator housing and to the starter post. is there a relay &/ or a fuse to check? where would that be located?
any advice will be appreciated. thanks

Yes there is a fuse or two for the 8500 Diesel Onan Genset. They are behind the upper access panel where the switches are on the genset itself. There are two If memory serves, they are in the rubber surround type of fuseholder. Check the connections to the fuses for corrosion, that was my issue and all fixed with a new blade type fuse and cleaning up the connections. Corroded connections increased the amp draw, popping the fuse.

Holiday Inn - Did you have any luck with this issue? Would love to see an update and if you could, let us know which generator you have. Mine had the QuickPact 75D (Guardian RV) by Generac. I had to swap out my starter and while I was down there, changed out my solenoid as well.

Have you checked the fuses and connections in the upper part of the Genset? They get wet and corroded. Can access easily through the hatch in the front cap. Clean up the terminals to the fuse holders and check the fuses.
