Hi all, we just purchased a 2004 GS M-8411, Friendship Atrium. 330 Cat. Low miles but clearly had water intrusion but overall pretty good shape for a 17 year old coach. Looks like we have some of the issues we've read about, mirrors specifically. I've read many of the threads on this forum and called multiple companies. So far, no solutions. Any suggestions are welcome!

Not sure of your question. Do you have a problem with the mirrors and if so, what’s the issue?

Hi Dennis, our mirrors have lost the rubber boot between the base and the arm and the drivers side is inoperable. I checked with GS and she provided lots of info but none was relevant. The chain of vendors no longer have anything. I also tried RV "recyclers" but again, nothing. I saw the threads about the Chinese replacements but they don't sound like a long term fix. I read about replacing them with lower mount style but not sure how to go about that or what to do with the "scar' left from the original. I think the failure of the drivers mirror could be related to the birds nest I removed... I tried jumping the switch but no reaction. Also tried to remove the covers. The last thing I want to do is make it worse.
Happy to hear any suggestions or receive any diagrams outlining assembly. I'm sure if I can replace the motor, I can live with them. Possibly modify a marine bellows to cover the gap.
