I have a 2000 Sun voyager independence. My headlights go off and come back on, not related to bumps or jars. Does anyone know if the headlights have a thermal circuit breaker?

On the systems I am familiar with the headlight switch has a circuit breaker built into the switch and can only be repaired by replacing the switch. The first thing I would do is measure the current to the headlights to make sure there is not a short in the wiring harness. If you don't have anyway to measure the current, unplug one head light at a time and see if that makes any difference. Normally the breaker only protects the headlamp circuit and not the parking or tail lights.

Hi JT,
Check the easy thing first. Look at the switch on your dash and make sure the connector(s) and the screw plate is nice and tight. Mine was loose years ago and turns out that was the simple fix.
