Hinges on wood panel under dinette seating?

Anyone decided to hinge the currently screwed on wooden board under the dinette benches in their 2023 Gulf Stream Conquest 6314D (class C) motorhome?
Looked, and underneath appears empty space, and possible unused storage.
Suggestions?

Is the SEAT already hinged or removable, or better access?
