Horn wiring

I bought a 1986 Sunstream and am bringing it back to life. I am working on the horn at the moment and could use a wiring diagram before I start chasing wires. I have power at the steering column, but not at the horn when actuated.

Hello have you checked your horn relay? You should hear it click, your wheel button closes a relay that sends power to the horn. If the relay is not working you will not have power at the horn.

Not yet, no idea where it is. I am just getting started going through the wiring, but would really like a wiring diagram.

At the horn contact ring, check for good ground on upper steering shaft. You should find horn relay in front under hood fuse box. To test horn ground make a jumper lead with 1 amp blade type fuse. Attach jumper to known good ground and then do a quick check by touch horn contact power wire. We use to have to add a ground jumper wire from lower to upper steering shaft. Do not test ground to power for then a quick flicker to. u tube does have GM horn contact ring video. The power on horn contact ring comes from horn relay and needs a quick ground to beep the horn. Upper steering shaft needs a good ground wire to lower shaft.
