Camping is fun, a good experience. A camp fire is a large part of that fun.
We recently spent a week at a campground and a neighbor enjoyed a campfire every night of the week. Several nights the wind blew just right to cover or site in smoke. Their fire ring was very close to our site and they seemed to always burn damp wood.
We have 2 roof fans, when we run either of these fan on exhaust it draws in smoky air.
I am working on installing a charcoal filter system to clean the air entering the camper. First step is to replace the refrigerator side grill with an air tight boat hatch. Second is to add a charcoal MERV13 filter that filters incoming air.
Thoughts?
Grill replacement pictures below. I am waiting delivery of-the filter material.
P.S. we are running a 12 volt refrigerator so the side vent is no longer needed.
