Hi, all. Wife and I recently retired and purchased our first motorhome. Looking forward to the next chapter of our lives. Am sure we have a lot to learn and experience, so we'll be looking forward to sharing with and hearing from you all.

I'm new to this site as of today. I found it when I googled for information on water heaters in my new-to-me 2004 Gulf Stream. I'm hoping this is an active forum as I'm feeling alittle insecure about my knowledge of the systems. And, I'm sure to have questions. So, hi everyone. Just wondering, is there a way to post pictures along with comments when it might be helpful?

Welcome Eggman! What model/year did you get?

Hey! We ended up with a 2018 33' Conquest on a 2017 Ford E-450 chassis. I am admittedly not great mechanically so we decided new would be our (my!) best bet this go-around. I have so much to learn and already have a million or so questions. I tend to over analyze so I probably complicate things most of the time. But looking forward to the learning process and enjoying time away and relaxing. How about you? What's your story?

My story?..........I'm retired and downsizing. I wanted to be able to be mobile to visit family and friends and places I love. I wasn't able to buy new. However; after searching for a unit that fit my needs I found a 24' 2004 Gulf Stream, Ford 450 Super Duty V10 with only 25,000 miles. I will be traveling solo with my German Shepherd. I have less than a month to clear my house and ensure that my coach is road worthy and that I know the basics of all the systems. It appears that I've made a good purchase. BUT I need to build confidence with the operation of all systems. . I'm hoping that this forum is active and a resource for sharing information. I'm sure I will have questions. I'm such a newbie with all this but so very excited. Any information anyone would like to share for a newbie will be greatly appreciated.

Another Newie

I'm looking at purchasing a 2007 GULF STREAM SUN VOYAGER 8389 MXG......What does MXG stand for?? Thank you

The all-knowing google may decipher that for you. If you haven't bought it yet, inspect all over for 'soft spots' in the roof, walls and floor which indicate long-term rainwater leaks and major bucks and trouble to repair. Then, of course, all the systems, appliances, etc. You must be 10 times as diligent as when you are buying a used car.
