When we first got our Crescendo we got 6.4 mpg on the way home. It had 1200 miles on it. Now I have just over 4000 miles on it and am getting 7.5 mpg. Does this sound like I am getting a good average mpg or should I be getting more. Perhaps something is amiss in the engine. I have been told by a few people (at the RV show) that I should be getting better fuel economy.

We have a Cat C7 300HP with the allison 3000 6spd trans. (I think the trans is a 3000 model)

I plan to get the memory flashed and boost her up to 350 HP this winter when I get it inspected and serviced. My wife finally agreed to that and I am holding her to it. lol I'm not doing that to get better mpg but I have been told it may help.

I thank you all for your feed back on this.

The 7.5 mpg is about right on.

On ours we are getting about 7.5 to 8.5 depending on the terrain (hills, etc.) with 8500 miles on it towing a Ford Explorer that is heavy.

The mileage will continue to improve until the engine is broke in which should be about 25k miles.

On our previous coach which had the CAT 3126e 330hp we were getting about 10.2 mpg when we traded it in with 15k on it. But it was a 36' weighting 4000 lbs. less than our present one.

We are getting 7.7 miles per gallon. We are still new so hopefully that will get better. At least I hope so.
