Hey there! It's been on my list of things to do to take photos and post up what I've done with our travel trailer to make it more functional for us.

We were having problems with shoes being everywhere by the door and tripping over them, so we put up shoe racks purchased from Amazon under the bed.

Where the TV mount is, I thought it was pretty far away from the bed (other end of the RV) and were limited to how big of a unit because of the bathroom door and the cabinets, so I got a Data Projector to hang under the shelf above the bed. I hook it up to my computer via HDMI so we can watch our shows. Usually downloaded episodes from Netflix etc. We also put up some hooks across the RV and hang a screen. Its equivalent to about a 50" picture.

One of the big projects that I just did recently was remove the bench by the front door. It was pretty cramped walking in, and didn't give us much room at all to move around. It's just the wife and I plus a couple little fur babies so sitting on the same side is not an issue. And if it is, then I'll use a camping chair. So, removed the bench but it was the side that had the drawer. Relocating the drawer to the other bench was kind of a pain to get the sliders to screw in, and line up properly, but I managed. I actually had to take off the bathroom door in order to screw in the slider haha. Also relocated the propane sensor to under the bench (it was where the drawer is now), and made a new carpeted wheel well cover with some extra wood and carpet remnants I had laying around.

The wife wanted some lights for xmas time last year so we got some rope lights and hung those. They change colors and have themes (xmas, july 4, just white, etc). You can also see the hooks where the TV screen hangs from the ceiling. I got some ceiling vent insulator blocks too, but couldn't find ones that were the right size and had to cut the foam to get them to fit.

I didn't like how the front of the trailer felt a little wobbly. I got some RV jacks that happened to be a little more beefy than the ones that came with it, so I put the new ones in the back, and the original ones in the front. Maybe a little overkill, but it's nice to have as an option.

Some more mods...

I've had some water heater issues. Most were me being a newbie, but I made some changes to my hot water heater panel. I had the stupid little inline fuse pop on me, twice. First time was because whomever wired it up left the fuse too close to the burner and the excess heat popped it. Thanks Gulf Stream.. Second time I think I had an air bubble in the line/tank and that triggered the heating element to overheat, and popped it. Because you can't see if it's popped, I decided to switch it out for an inline bus fuse with a waterproof cover.
I also put a 1 ft hose on the drain with a swivel on one end, and a shutoff on the other. Makes it easy to drain the tank and capture the water with a bucket!
I installed the mesh screen over the vent to keep the bugs out. Drilled out the rivets, cut the mesh to size, re-attached with new rivets.

Of course we had to put in the gas struts for under the bed too. I also braced the bed up with some 2x4's while I was at it. There was also an annoying squeak by the head of the bed where the wood was rubbing the wall, so I put some angle brackets under the bed in the tunnel.

LMK what you think! We're happy with how it's coming along!

I don't suppose that you have the sources and part numbers for the various mods, do you? These are great!

I do not, sorry. Although anything extra that I bought was from Amazon. The shoe rack, rope lights, data projector, vent covers, rv jacks, gas struts under the bed, bug screens for vents, hot water tank hose with swivel and shut off were all purchased on Amazon.

Since my last post, I also bought from my local dealer (who got the parts directly from gulf stream) 2 more cabinet doors with hinges, popped out the blanks in the overhead cabinets above the table and put the new doors on. It makes getting into the full cabinet space so much easier!

Thanks for your update. I also added upper cabinet doors over the dinette. I simply pushed out the existing panels and used them in door frames I built in my shop. I got Lowes to "color-match" the panels and they gave me a sample of the paint for free. I used that to paint the frames. Close enough for government work, as they say. Like you, I also put a drawer under the rear dinette seat, moving the LP detector to the front of the bench seat.
