Any tips on replacing black tank in 2003 Gulf Stream Sun Voyager? Had a tire blow out on the Interstate and it ripped the black tank apart. Also caught the tail pipe and ripped entire exhaust out. So I have a lot of work to do. And figured the black tank is the biggest job. So, anyone have any tips or advice?
It just happened a few hours ago, so I havent gotten a good look at all the damage yet.
Thanks for any help

Never mind. Driveshaft also bent, entire exhaust junk, black tank and grey tank both had drain ripped from bottom pf tanks. And the fresh water inlet is missing, must have been lwft on highway when tire blew. And of course multiple wires ripped apart in wheelwell.
Decided it is not worth fixing. Stripped anything of value from it, and gave it away free on Craigslist. Tried to take it to salvage yard, bit none of them will take it. Said too much plastic and fiberglass to deal with.
So it is gone, and I will need to buy a tent to go camping I guess!

What was the DOT date code on the tire that blew?? You should never operate a heavy vehicle at speed on tires more than about 8 to 10 years old. Your coach may have still had the original tires on it from 2003, since not many miles are accumulated on this type of vehicle, but tire strength/reliability is age dependent more than even mileage or tread wear...

Sorry for your loss of use of the camper, but at least you are safe. Go check/verify all the tire date codes on anything you drive now, no better time than when you are thinking of it.
