New owner 5255

Is this a new one or a "new to you"? If the former, check every single water connection you can find, every gas connection. On our 2025 each and everyone was hand tight only and of course all leaked. pour some water down the shower drain, then look through the vent under the pan and looks for leaks. the tech who installed the drain thought it a good idea to only use putty halfway around the drain.

Do you have the on demand wh or a tank? We have the on demand and it's a love hate relationship. Love the fact that once it's hot it stays hot. Hate the fact it wastes so much water getting hot, and the cold spurts when you turn off the faucet to save water.

What we found "humorous" is the lack of drawers in the kitchen area for cooking needs. We solved this by getting a white, wood, roll cart at Target with 4 drawers. We velcro it to the two cabinet handles under the sink while in transit, store it by the side of the fridge when park and slide extended.

On ours, the brain trust at GS glued (instead of screws) the bed platform on the driver side to the frame 1) upside down so unfinished wood side showing, 2) thus leaving no way to access the water pump for repair, or even to winterize properly. They did provide a 6" hole with ragged edges. Had remedied under warranty.

You should consider getting one of these: Amazon.com

I attached one to the back of the 5255 under the hitch. There is perhaps better places, as if I ever bottom out, I may lose it. Where it is is very convenient when messing with dumping the tanks.

I replaced all the outside storage locks with better ones. The original ones were really cheap and hard to turn.

The E450 has been perfect and we get between 9-10 mpg towing a 5k lb Jeep Gladiator.

We've had ours for about 15 months now, have not been happy with our purchase but as time moves on we've adjusted. We are convinced ours was a prototype or rush build by new guy's and the QC staff were on vacation. We've seen later build units with many of our issues resolved.

I hope you have many trouble free adventures.
