No electricity

I went camping this weekend in my new to me 24' 2008 Gulfstream Conquest Class C. It was very hot, so the a/c was on constantly. On the last night, we lost all electricity (we were on shore power). When I returned home I plugged it in to our shore power thinking it was the campsite's problem, but nope. No electrical power at all. I've checked the circuit breakers and reset everything, but still nothing. I haven't checked each of the fuses, but those seem to be item-specific. Is there something else I can check that might be blown? I also tried the generator, but still got no power to anything...

Hey there, sorry you're having troubles. "No electrical power at all." Does that mean no 12v DC power either, lights, etc.?

On the 120v AC power side, if the generator won't provide power in addition to no power from shore, I suspect the transfer switch. All 120v sources go into it, and it switches to connect the priority source to the 120v circuit panel. Generator is usually 1st priority, Shore 2nd. Since you are having issues, I wouldn't leave the shore power connected to the RV while running the generator until you get things sorted just in case something is shorted. You don't want to backfeed or make things more dangerous.

I have 12V, and after I found the transfer switch that was exactly what it was.

Molded PLUG on cord? Also Common is broken wire at plug, so buy/carry a spare replacement plug? Glad you found your issue at XFER. ALSO RECOMMEND YOU BUY/ CARRY/ USE Meter or simple device you can PLUG in to verify proper polarity/ wiring and Power at the 30a RECEPTACLE B4 PLUGGING IN?

I had pretty much the same problem on my 2006 sun voyager. Replaced the shore
plug end and fixed the problem.
