Pump placement

Quick question, in redoing some bed issues in our camper. I noticed this water pump laying flat. Should I be like this or should it be mounted up right ?

The pump just doesn’t care. In your case, it looks much easier to mount it securely lying flat. If it was against a wall, a vertical mount would be easiest.

The pump in my 189 DD is set up exactly the same. Hasn't been a problem.
