Quality comparison

New here, and I am in the sniffing stage. Opening the forum I see what is probably a list of typical RV issues, regardless of brand. (1) For comparison, how does the overall quality of the GS Class C group compare to Renegade Super C's? We just sold a Rene Super C and are very familiar with their quality. (2) How is the customer service, especially regarding warranty work, of the Gulfs? From my decades ago's memory banks, Gulf Stream = quality. Thank you and I will be reading this and other GS forums in the meantime. Cheers. john

Quality comparison....my 2 cents

Welcome to the site. My 2 cents ... the only two Super C I would consider new would be a Renegade or a Showhauler. In the last 7+ years, none of the big manufacturers offer a quality product for the price point. I've looked at pretty much every manufacturer of a Super C type coach. Nothing stood up to the older Gulfstream we have now except the two mentioned. That said, the $500,000+ price point for new, buys me an awful lot of tweaking on an older unit 😳
That said, if you find yourself a well cared for older Gulfstream Class C (by older I am thinking pre-2010), take a real hard look at those. Back then, before the 2009 collapse, Gulfstream had solid, well built, good finish detailing, and nice selection of features motorhomes.

Boze: Thanks. What you said about Super C's is in line with my opinion, having had a Rene and reading a lot. I was recently disappointed to read about the apparent decline in the quality of the Gulfs from when I was a kid. I was hoping to find out that they are still top tier as one of the models I saw has a cab/console/seat that appears like my wife could negotiate it pretty easily. Hmmm. I will keep checking. We sold a 24' Lazy Daze to get the Rene but that proved less than ideal for our situation. Great quality and amazing, to me, to get 10 mpg from a 33K pound, high rig. I'll keep reading/looking for something ideal..... ha ha ha. Cheers. j

I have 2007 Gulf Stream super c with 70000 miles on international chassis I love it need to find some exterior parts

Thanks for the replies. Yes, the Rene and Show seem to keep popping up as the better ones made. I keep hoping for someone to make a Super C in the 32' range that would focus on bare-bones, basic amenities and good quality. There is too much glitz and too little quality in motorhomes, IMO.
